The Dark Bunny
I'm going to start off this blog with a story that happened to my younger brother, and then our younger sister.
It was probably around 1999 when this happened. Both were going to a school about a five minute walk away. They'd come home around 3PM, so there was plenty of light during the summer. However, during winter months that light quickly starts to fade around this time.
Winter of '99, my brother was walking home from school. Nearing home, he makes the final corner. Two the left, between two houses there's a small clearing with woodland between them. It's blocked off by some concrete barriers as cars would often park there. What my brother says he saw there sends shivers down my back to this day.
As he turned the final corner, he saw what looked like an extremely large (maybe eight feet tall) "bunny" standing by the concrete barriers. He said he could see through the "bunny", and its as though this thing, whatever it was, felt that my brother was standing there staring in shock. As the thing turned around, my brother ran screaming home.
As the thing turned, he noticed it had two large red eyes that seemed to glow. He told our mom, however she wrote it off as an over active imagination and it wasn't spoken of again.
However, the very next day your younger sister comes running home crying. My mother asks what happened, she thought maybe a bully was being mean. "I saw a bad rabbit man!". As my brother heard this, he yelled in surprise "See mom! I told you so!".
This made my mother think twice about what her children experienced. Thankfully as of date, the wooded area has been cleared and a field stands in its place now in wait of a house to be built.
